Zoe Wolf:What has inspired you lately?I am inspired by the pond I live near. Almost every morning I get up and walk down to the water. It’s beautiful. There is so much peacefulness going on there, but also so much life! It’s a centering and enlivening spot.
What’s the best advice you have ever received? One of my high school history teachers said, “I gotta be me.” That advice has stuck with me for a long time. It was so simple, but so true!
What is something that might surprise people about Calmer Choice? This isn’t too surprising, but the kids absolutely love our programming. They remember so much of it year to year and often report using it at important times in their lives and teaching it to family members. In this way, I see the ripples from Calmer Choice making their way into the community and supporting us all in living more kindly and with more awareness.
What is your favorite thing about working for Calmer Choice? The feeling of becoming part of the school or classroom community is so special. It’s wonderful to make real connections with school administrators, teachers, and of course, the students. I feel that when we practice mindfulness together, we can understand each other in a whole new way. With each Calmer Choice session I teach, I feel my community growing larger and larger.
What is your favorite movie? There are lots of movies that I love! Recently, I watched He Named Me Malala. That was an amazing movie!
